The excitement surrounding Hombale Films' "Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire" continues to escalate globally. Directed by Prashanth Neel, this film has not only won over audiences but also achieved significant box office success. After amassing 700 crore in India, the Prabhas-led movie has now made a remarkable impact in Japan, securing the third-largest opening for an Indian film there.
'Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire' hit Japanese theatres on 5th July and grossed JPY 18.22 million (USD 113K) in its first week, showing at nearly 200 locations. This impressive start places it behind only RRR (JPY 45 million) and Saaho (JPY 23 million) among Indian films. By Monday and Tuesday following its release, the film added nearly JPY 5 million, bringing its total to JPY 23 million (USD 142K). The first week's earnings are projected to reach around JPY 28 million.
