Director Srinath Vasistha deserves a pat on the back for selecting a novel written by JM Prahalad for this movie that highlights the hassles that the deaf and mute face in villages. The movie conveys a message to society that deaf and mute do not need sympathy but opportunities to become self-reliant. Vasistha’s earlier movies Manthana and Salila also conveyed a message on the adverse impact of drugs on youth and water crisis due to pollution of water bodies. Apart from handling the megaphone, he has also played a key role in the movie.
