Actor Darshan's wife, Vijayalakshmi Darshan, visited him at Ballari Jail, where he is imprisoned in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. A Bengaluru civil court rejected bail pleas for Darshan and co-accused Pavithra Gowda on October 14, while another accused, Deepak, was granted bail. The actor has now approached the Karnataka high Court seeking bail in the case.
